Gathering for the first golf day in support of the Pexhurst Charitable Trust, over 70 golfers from across our supply chain recently teed up at The Shire Golf Club for the trust’s second fundraising event of the year.
The event, organised by the members of our Junior Board, raised over £13,000 for the newly established trust thanks to the ongoing support of our supply chain, many of whom we have worked with for more than 20 years.
Launched earlier this year, the Pexhurst Charitable Trust was set up with the aim of continuing our strong history of charitable giving and to provide more personal and targeted support to individuals in need within our local area. Via the trust, we hope to support a diverse range of causes including hospices, schools, and individuals facing socio-economic challenges or ill health.
Whilst the big winner off the course was the Pexhurst Charitable Trust, the day wasn’t without a healthy dose of competition on the greens. And the winners were…
- Nearest to the Pin: Oscar Strange & Paul Handforth
- Longest Drive: Liam Wetherfield
- Nearest to the Pin in Two: Pete Tyler
- Beat the Pro: Brett Martin
A big congratulations also goes to our winning individual, Paul Kavanagh, and winning team, led by our very own Dan Beadle.

A huge thank you to DC Flooring, Enerco, Tribuild and TPS360 for being our sponsors on the day and helping to make this event a success.
Having played a vital role in both the setup of the trust and the organisation of ongoing fundraising, our Management Accountant and Business Manager Rosy Vella said: “Having set up the trust earlier in the year, our hope was to raise over £35k to help support local individuals and organisations. Thanks to the support of our long-established supply chain, our staff and Pexhurst’s generous donation from company profits, we are well on our way to reaching that target.
“Marking our second fundraiser of the year, it’s incredibly rewarding to see our charity golf day raise funds for our own charitable trust. The money raised so far is already supporting several causes and we look forward to seeing this continue.”
One attendee commented:
I had a fantastic day. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a day like that. The Pexhurst company culture is superb and we were all really impressed with the entire experience; it felt more like a family gathering than a corporate event.
