Pexhurst Charitable Trust took Pole Position with £11,000 fundraised at Supply Chain Go Karting Event

Taking to Rye House Kart Raceway in Hoddesdon for the third time, more than 100 individuals from our valued supply chain gathered for an evening of racing, networking and fundraising.

Funds raised for the trust will be granted with the aim to support a diverse range of causes including hospices, schools, individuals facing ill health and individuals facing socio-economic challenges.

Kayla Vella, our Senior Client Relationship and Marketing Manager and PCT Trustee said: “Following an incredibly successful first twelve months of the Pexhurst Charitable Trust, Rosy Vella and I would like to extend our thanks to our team and supply chain partners for their continued support. Their enthusiasm and generosity at our go karting event helped us surpass our initial fundraising target and enables us to continue giving back to the communities we’ve operated in since 1977.”

Founded in 2025 by internal trustees, the Pexhurst Charitable Trust raised more than £50,000 within its first year. In this time, five organisations were selected as the first successful applicants to be awarded funding, including Greenside SEND School and National Autistic Society, marking the beginning of the trust’s grant-giving activity. The trust has also supported hospice care and facilitated therapy pony visits at a local hospital.

Kayla added: “Not put off by the rain, it was great to see 21 karts take to the track across the two races on the night. Not only that, but these annual events create the perfect opportunity to network with our long-standing partners and connect with new faces – relationships that are crucial to our fundraising efforts.

“We’d also like to thank Site Manager Aaron McElligott for his support in organising the event and adding a fun twist to this year’s race night, helping to keep the evening exciting and memorable for everyone involved.”

Congratulations to Belmont Roofing for earning access to the top step of the podium on the night, and to Delta House and our very own Pexhurst team for rounding out the top three.

We would like to thank everyone who supported us and made our fundraiser for the Pexhurst Charitable Trust such a success, including:

Continuing our fundraising efforts, we will be hosting our next event for the Pexhurst Charitable Trust on 1st October 2026 – a golf day at Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club.
