Pexhurst has just completed and handed over its first project for Capita Symonds. A typical project for Pexhurst involved the complete refurbishment of an industrial unit with office space in Woking.
Working to a tight deadline, Pexhurst stripped the unit back to bare bones, finding a number of issues with the ageing building that needed rectification. Not least of these was the amount of asbestos internally and on the roof.
Pexhurst was able to provide specialists to remove the asbestos from the interior, while the roof was jet washed and coated with Delcote to completely encapsulate the asbestos, rendering it safe and protecting it from further degradation.
Pexhurst was recommended to Capita Symonds where the Contract Administrator was impressed: “What impressed me was their professionalism and their “can do ” attitude. As is often the case with older buildings of this type we did come across quite a few unexpected problems, but Pexhurst was always able to come up with a solution quickly, saving the project from running overtime.”
The timing was certainly an issue for this project, with the tenant taking possession of the property just three days after it was handed over.
