Earlier this month, we held a supplier golf day and silent auction, raising an impressive £2,600 for Teenage Cancer Trust. This follows on from our client golf day over the summer, which raised an additional £3,500 for workplace mental health charity Mates in Mind.
Nick Tagliarini, Director at Pexhurst, said: “We pride ourselves on building strong and long-lasting client and supply chain relationships. We hold an annual golf day for clients; this year we wanted to do something a little different for our supply chain partners and thank them for their support during these turbulent times by hosting a golf day specifically for them.
“After 18 months of social distancing and limited contact, it was great to get back on the greens and have face-to-face time with our supply chain. Events like these allow us to create meaningful relationships while raising much needed funds for charity.”
The supplier golf day, held at Essendon Country Club, was attended by suppliers from companies such as Sontec Electrical, Reds Builders and Westway Group. The day began with golfers fueling up on a full English breakfast before teeing off at the club’s new course, and ended with a full three-course sit down meal.
Hailey Amani, Senior Relationship Manager of Teenage Cancer Trust said: “Pexhurst have been a fantastic supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust for years and we’re so grateful they’re helping us reach every young person that needs us, now more than ever.
“This is such a fantastic amount to raise. It costs the charity £25 to pay for an hour of nursing care so the amount raised from the Golf Day will help pay for 2 weeks of nursing care. A huge thank you to Pexhurst.”
Alan Bissell of MJB Decorators Ltd won best stableford score of the day with 48 points, closely followed by Terry Connors of Able Electrical Inspection with 40 points. The highest scoring team with a combined total of 103 stableford points was Michael Boudier, Michael Groves, Alan Bissell and Jayson Hannam.
