Over £25,000 raised for the Pexhurst Charitable Trust through generous golfing get-togethers

An amazing £25,000 and counting has been raised for our charitable trust through the success of two recent golf events involving our team, our valued supply chain partners and our clients!

The Pexhurst Charitable Trust (PCT) operates across the Home Counties providing support for causes including hospices, schools, individuals facing ill health and individuals facing socio-economic challenges. Ahead of the next funding application deadline on 31 October, the recent events have further strengthened the trust’s ability to make a difference, building on its support for five different causes since its inception in 2025.

In September, we hosted clients at the historic Stoke Park for our seventh annual charity golf day, bringing together over 80 building surveyors, project managers and asset managers from across the Midlands, Home Counties and South East. In the process of raising £2,500 across the day, we congratulated Claire Charlton at CORE CBS Ltd for the best individual score – becoming the first lady to win our annual golf day – and Team Hazeltine for best team score.

Sadly, nobody managed to beat the 12,500 to 1 odds of a hole in one and take home the £10,000 prize… maybe next year!

Moving into October, we teed off the month by welcoming 100 of our supply chain partners – many whom we have been working with for more than 20 years – to The Hertfordshire Golf & Country Club. On this occasion, our very own Ashley Williams claimed the prize for best individual score, while Team O’Malley came together to win best team score.

More importantly, raising more than £22,500 on the day, this milestone amount marked the most successful fundraising event led by Pexhurst and our charitable trust to date.

Senior Client Relationship and Marketing Manager, and PCT trustee, Kayla Vella said:

“As we approach Pexhurst’s 50th anniversary in 2027, we’re extremely proud that the charitable trust continues to support worthy causes across the Home Counties. The huge amount of money raised at our recent golf events with our team, clients and our valued supply chain partners makes us incredibly proud and will go towards not only supporting organisations and charities, but also individuals in the communities that Pexhurst has operated in since 1977.

Having already supported five different causes and distributed £15,000 in the trust’s first year, my fellow trustee Rosy Vella and I are excited to review new applications after our next deadline on 31 October. From £1 to £1,000 donations, everyone that has supported the success of recent events is to thank for the positive differences and impact that will be made when applications are processed and new relationships are forged with the local communities.”

Successful applications for support from the Pexhurst Charitable Trust have so far included Greenside SEND School, National Autistic Society, Isabel Hospice, East & North Hertfordshire Hospital Charity and Keech Hospice.
