Following a competitive tender process, Pexhurst was appointed by Devonshire Partnership to deliver a Grade A, fully decarbonised workspace at Building 200, Colchester, on behalf of client Picton.
The project was designed to support productivity, innovation and wellbeing within the workplace.
Situated to the north of Colchester, Colchester Business Park benefits from a prime location adjacent to the A12/A120, offering excellent connectivity to the UK’s major motorway network.
The works comprised a comprehensive CAT A fit-out and refurbishment across 30,316 sq. ft of office accommodation spread over two floors. The renovation was carried out to increase market appeal by upgrading both the functionality and aesthetics of the building.
Key elements of the refurbishment included the installation of modern amenities such as fully furnished breakout areas, a business lounge, open-plan kitchenette, and new WC and shower facilities. These additions were carefully designed to support employee comfort and wellbeing.
Significant improvements were made to the building’s infrastructure, including the introduction of energy efficient upgrades, an all-electric heating and cooling system, and the installation of LED lighting throughout. As well as the installation of raised access flooring with carpet tile finishes, and enhanced building security.
