Fortunately finding a dry day amid the September showers, our clients and contacts from across the property industry joined us once again for the sixth installment of the Pexhurst Charity Golf Day.
Descending upon the impressive Moor Park, more than 100 people made the trip to Rickmansworth and generously donated money in support of Melanoma Fund – raising a total of £2,000.
The Melanoma Fund focuses on raising awareness, education and prevention of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. Its aim is to improve understanding of sun protection and early detection, among those actively involved in sports and outdoor recreation, to reduce risks and save lives.
As well as our focus on raising money for an inspiring charity, we gave our guests more than one opportunity to go home as winners. Attendees taking on Moor Park’s High Course could purchase a ‘Super Ticket’, entering them into all our on-course competitions, including Nearest the Pin, Nearest the Pin in Two, Longest Drive, Beat the Pro, and Hole in One. The latter was worth £10,000 to anyone able to make every golfer’s dream shot… but it wasn’t to be this time.
Perhaps next year the hole in one challenge will be conquered by one of the twelve attendees who participated in this year’s 90-minute Beginner’s Experience – the ‘par-fect’ introduction to golf in a fun and informative way by one of Moor Park’s talented pros.
The Winner’s Circle
Congratulations to Ash Winter from Hollis for the best individual Stableford score with 41 points and Team Bridge for the best team score with 87 points – winning on countback in a close contest! This year’s imaginary wooden spoon was confidently claimed by Matt Santos, trailing the day’s leader with a deficit of 26 points.

Further congratulations go to the winners of our on-course competitions:
- Harry Street, Liquasil – Nearest the Pin in Two on the 7th
- Callum Jackson, Lysander – Nearest the Pin on the 10th
- Llyr Raw-Rees, Savills – Longest Drive on the 16th
- Alfie Tipping, Cushman & Wakefield – Beat the Pro on the 18th (following a draw including others who were successful)
The final winner was Melanoma Fund, whose CEO Michelle Baker said:
“This year, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Pexhurst to create meaningful awareness of sun safety across its workforce. Together, we have run a staff survey, delivered a tailored toolbox talk presentation, and supported the installation of sunboards and sunscreen in key areas, ensuring staff have both the education and practical tools they need to stay sun protected.
“We were delighted to attend the annual Pexhurst Charity Golf Day, not only to raise funds as its chosen charity, but also to extend sun safety awareness to its clients. This provided a valuable opportunity to reach a wider audience directly and personally, with messages on UV protection and skin checking, helping to safeguard not only Pexhurst’s workforce, but also its broader network.
“The monies raised will be directed towards promoting the roll out of Melanoma Fund’s new Sunguarding Schools lesson in spring 2026, designed to educate children on the importance of sun protection from an early age. By investing in prevention at grassroots level, Pexhurst is helping us make a long-term impact on reducing skin cancer rates for future generations.”
A huge thanks from everyone at Pexhurst to those that made our latest annual event a big success, including new and long-standing clients from Ares Management, CBREIM, ESR, Indurent, JLL, Marchmont, SEGRO and Tritax.
Having played a key role in organising the event, our Senior Client Relationship & Marketing Manager Kayla Vella said:
“Every year we try to make our charity golf day bigger and better. This year, we’re confident we’ve achieved that. The charities we choose to raise money for are always very grateful for the generosity shown by our guests, who come with a positive attitude towards the networking opportunities which the day also presents. It was excellent to see so many faces in attendance from our established client network, as well as some newcomers too… Roll on next year!”
