Successful fit-out in major City of London commercial premises, minimising disruption to other occupants in this heavily‑used building.
Jones Lang LaSalle (King Sturge)
This project for Prudential Property was an extensive Category A fit-out at 60 Bishopsgate in the City of London. Work was required on the first floor of this mid 20th-century building, delivering an impressive space with dramatic impact features including a mezzanine edged by cast-iron railings and accessed via a spiralling cast iron staircase.
The project included upgrading all mechanical and electrical equipment, including stripping out and replacing the electrical installations.
All other floors to the building were occupied throughout the project. The Pexhurst team therefore needed to coordinate the work – and associated suppliers’ deliveries and transfer – to minimise any noise, disruption and mess that could impact the existing occupants.
Although the building had a service lift, Pexhurst undertook to access the space solely via the first floor fire escape, thereby minimising disruption and dirt. We also made arrangements to carry out any noisy work only between 7am and 8.30am.
