Pexhurst’s Pizza Pledge for Teenage Cancer Trust

We are delighted to have raised £1,000 in vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust through our ‘Gift Pax from Pexhurst’ campaign!

As part of the campaign, clients were able to claim a free DIY pizza kit – in return, we asked that they make, enjoy, take a photo of their masterpiece and send it back to us. For each photo sent to us, we donated £10 to the charity. The campaign proved so popular with clients that we also extended it to Pexhurst employees. A total of 53 clients and employees requested a free pizza kit and to show our appreciation we rounded the figure to £1,000.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a cancer care and support charity in the UK that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13-24. The money we raised from this campaign could pay for up to 40 hours with a youth support worker to provide young people help with things like exams, relationships and body image throughout their cancer treatment. Likewise, this money could pay for 33 hours of care from a nurse who specialises in giving young people sensitive, individual care.

Nick Tagliarini, Director, says: “Covid-19 has been a tough year for the charity, with donation forecasts falling from £18.5 mil to £12.5 mil – a massive drop of £6 mil! I’m so thankful to our clients and colleagues for getting involved in this fun campaign and helping provide much-needed support during a time of drastic economic uncertainty for charities and voluntary organisations.”

Well done team!
