Pexhurst is delighted to announce it has won Medium Business of the Year at the Hertfordshire Business Awards.
After some intense judging, Pexhurst beat five other local companies to win the award which was open to any business with a turnover of £2million to £20million.
The aim was to reward a company who delivered a compelling business strategy through growth, ambition, and strong business management.
Pexhurst’s success was based on realistic objectives in the face of a difficult economic climate. Despite fierce competition in the industry the company has been able to respond well in advance of market changes, focussing on its core strengths therefore controlling expenditure and as a consequence managing the financial margins set.
In a recent survey of 1,000 construction companies in the UK, the prestigious Plimsoll market intelligence agency rated Pexhurst as ‘strong’, its highest rating. In a challenging market, where the same report identified 213 companies as being "in financial danger" and with a record number reporting a loss, this is a significant achievement.
Even in a tough competitive market, family business Pexhurst has continued to maintain investment in its staff learning and development contributing to its low staff turnover.
Client Services Director, Nick Tagliarini said: "We’re absolutely ecstatic that our hard work has been recognised and without the dedication and hard work of the Pexhurst team this award would not have been possible."
