Pexhurst is delighted to be supporting the highest performing students at Newham College of Further Education by sponsoring the Outstanding Stars 2012 awards run by the Learning Revolution Trust.
Newham College is a client of Pexhurst, and, having been impressed with the scale and ambition of the College, the company was keen to take the opportunity to support its work.
Newham College is situated in an area of London with a very diverse population, incorporating some of the most hard-pressed boroughs in the capital. The College offers its 10,000 students a huge range of vocational and academic courses and encourages many older people to return to education as well as offering practical routes to employment for the 16+ age range.
“We really liked the ethos of the College, with its focus on providing vocational as well as academic education and particularly the effort it puts in to providing opportunities for older people to continue their education” said Pexhurst MD Martin Vella.
The Awards event recognises the best and most dedicated students in a range of disciplines. They will be presented at the end of June in the presence of over 400 guests, including Learning Revolution Trust Patrons Tessa Sanderson CBE and Zandra Rhodes CBE.
