Pexhurst have completed a specialist healthcare project at Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex.
The project, which was phased over a period of 12 weeks, included the refurbishment of seven bedrooms and one staff room, with the aim being to give patients a five star hotel experience. Lighting, floor coverings and decoration were also updated to make the room more modern and contemporary.
In addition, all ensuite bathrooms were converted into luxury wetrooms enabling patients to have the most comfortable stay possible.
A new treatment room with a medical laser system was also installed.
Project Manager, Stuart Byles said: "This project has had lots of unique challenges we’ve overcome. To cause minimal disruption we liaised minute by minute with ward staff to find out when a patient was due in for surgery so we could start work."
"We’re really pleased with the finished result and we hope the refurbishment allows patients to have a pleasant comfortable stay."
Amy Simpson, Support Services Manager at Springfield Hospital, said: "Pexhurst did a wonderful job. It was really difficult for them to work around people who were recovering, but they were so considerate and as careful as they could possibly be. If there were any problems they were rectified straight away, I couldn’t recommend them enough."
