This competitively tendered project involved redeveloping an existing industrial unit on behalf of AkzoNobel. Pexhurst was tasked with completely updating the structure and fabric of the building as well as the refurbishment of the interior.

The external brickwork was completely over clad. The building was of a steel portal frame construction with brick walling and an insulated roof system to improve the energy efficiency of the building and reduce air leakage.

Alterations were made to the mechanical and electrical services throughout and new offices were created with new flooring and redecoration to create a light and airy space.

The overall result was the reinvigoration of a tired industrial unit into a modern,
attractive and fit-for-purpose structure for AkzoNobel to take over.
